Day 10: Dinner at The Pepper Market
This was my day off, but sadly it wasn't for anyone else. So I decided to spend the day at home being exceptionally lazy, doing a few chores and exploring the complex before everyone came home to keep me company. That evening we had plans to all go to Coronado Springs to eat at their quick-service location, The Pepper Market. Right before we were about to leave though we got a text from our roommate Laura saying she'd hit her head at work and had to go to the ER for an exam. She was expecting to be there for a while, so the rest of us headed to the resort for dinner. It was lovely to show everyone my new work location and tell them all my new fun facts! The resort is really beautiful and fun, and the food is delicious. After Morgan, Maddie, Nicole, Lisa and I all finished eating, we made our way to the fanciest hospital ever (they had valet) to pick up our poor concussed roommate. Fortunately Laura is back to being as normal as she is capable of being.
Day 11: Hollywood Studios
Day 11 was also Nicole's day off, so we slept in and then spent the afternoon at Hollywood Studios. Nicole works at Pizza Planet, so we thought it would be important for her to explore her home park, especially because this is her first time in Florida, so she's experiencing all the parks for the first time. We got there sometime around 1 and went straight to a FastPass kiosk. It was cloudy and lightly drizzling that day, so luckily the park wasn't busy at all. A huge benefit of being able to go to the parks whenever you're free is that you don't feel cheated if it's raining and you don't stay all day, and it's significantly easier to pack light.
We got FastPasses to Rockin' Rollercoaster, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Then we made our way to Tower of Terror, which had a wait time of TEN MINUTES. It was beautiful. After that we went to Little Mermaid, where we had the most perfect seats right in the middle of the second row, but there was a break in the seats in front of us. I have a vivid memory of watching this show when I was about five and seeing this enormous smoky Ursula to the right of the stage. I always wondered if I would ever find that show again or if it was even real, and then there it was! Just as I remembered!
After that show our FastPasses were ready to be used for Rockin' Rollercoaster. I had only been on once, so all I remembered is that it was fast and awesome. When you come out into the ride area a few rounds before you get on, you're right next to the people about to take off. They just sit there for about ten seconds before all of a sudden the car just goes shooting off at a ridiculously high speed. Seeing that put Nicole a little on edge, but she was still ready to go on UNTIL...
The lady pointed us to row 1! We got to sit in the very front!
AND IT WAS AMAZING.
After Rockin' Rollercoaster was Midway Mania, outside of which there is usually this charming green soldier.
We had planned to go to Magic Kingdom after Hollywood Studios, but we spent so much time wandering around looking for food that when we finally did find it, we ate far too much and just wanted to take naps. So we called it a day. Almost as soon as we got back I was ready for bed, because Day 12 meant location training Day 1!
