Days 41 and 42: Making Mickey

March 7th and 8th

Day 41: Back at the Pool

So turns out someone mentioned to my supervisor that I did really well on pools, so now whenever I work mornings I just expect to be out there. On Saturday though, hotel occupancy was down and it was pretty overcast, so the pool wasn't too crowded. Which meeeeeeanssss............. water art!

Because I had so much extra time and my area was all clean, I decided to spend a little extra time and turn my water art into rock art!

It was a really fun creative outlet, and the further along I got, the more excited the kids were. By the time I got to the ears I even had two little helpers.

This little girl was so sweet and helpful, and after her parents took a picture of her and her siblings with Mickey, she came back with the camera and said "the artist should be in the picture!" and insisted I step in. It was easily one of my most magical moments so far :)

The next day I was working in the evening, so I was in the convention center, but there were no conventions! Thus, I had more free time for art. This time I had a partner in Daisy, so we went to the marina area and made leaf art.

For some reason it looks a bit sparse in the photo, but we had those leaves on thick! It was a bit windy though, so after a few minutes we started losing bits of Mickey's face. Because there was no one in the convention center and my area was so clean, I took the opportunity to learn some new characters. I now have Minnie down perfectly, and Goofy is almost ready to debut. Stay tuned for pictures of them!
