Day 51
On Tuesday I worked a night shift, and the only thing I really know about it is that Daisy and I carpooled because we had the same work schedule for the beginning of the week. I really ought to keep up on this more promptly, because I forget everything. I think I was on pools maybe, or just somewhere they randomly needed me, because that was the theme for the first part of this week.
Day 52
Wednesday was another night shift. I was "special projects" so I was tasked with thoroughly cleaning the Green Room in preparation for a VIP the next day, and then I spent the evening wiping down rails along the lake. I actually quite enjoyed being outside and having a low-key evening, and I got to take a break in there to do rock and water art with Daisy and Angel.
Also, this is the post in our hallway to which I've previously referred! I'm the picture on the right.
Day 53
Thursday was a slightly earlier shift for me and Daisy because we were scheduled to work the following morning, so on this night we came in at 2:30 and left at 11. Even though they NEVER put a female on pools at night, it was busy enough to warrant it on this evening, so I was out keeping the pool area neat and clean. It was pretty uneventful but busy, so Omar and I were just counting down until 10 when the pool closed so we could go around and pull trash and towels and whatnot. Naturally, because we were waiting for it, right around 9:50 we felt a few drops of rain start to come down. Omar told me to go grab the big wheeled trash bucket and just start pulling all the trash, because a storm was coming. Sure enough, right at 10 o'clock it just started torrentially pouring rain. I was pulling the last few cans as it was streaming into my eyes and I could hear Omar on the radio yelling "Pool 2, pool 2, go inside! Give up, go inside!" so we just went into the backstage breakroom and attempted to dry our socks and wait out the rain buckets. After about half an hour it started to let up, at least enough for us to finish a few tasks before I had to leave at 11. It was hectic and crazy, and I looked like I jumped in the pool, but it was actually one of my favorite and most memorable evenings at work thus far.
Day 54: Morning shift
All I know about Day 54 is that I worked a morning shift after getting not enough sleep, and then since Kaitlyn and Daisy and I all worked morning, we went to Hollywood Studios afterward to ride Tower of Terror and do Animation Academy. We drew Jiminy Cricket!
Also, when we were in line at ToT, Kaitlyn and Daisy and I found each other on Snapchat and I gave Kaitlyn a mohawk.
Day 55
Another morning shift. I was working lobby.
Day 56
Another another morning shift. This was actually a fun day because Aunt Stephanie arrived early on this morning, so after she did some Florida exploring, she made her way to Coronado Springs! I snuck up on her as she was taking pictures of the Three Caballeros and told her she wasn't allowed to take photos, and then I attempted to do water art for her as the sun dried my Goofy before I could even get the water on the ground.
After work we went to my apartment and I got to give her a little tour, and then we got her finally checked into her hotel before going to Downtown Disney for dinner at Earl of Sandwich and dessert at Ghirardelli. Shoutout to Kelcy Applegarth for ranting and raving about Earl of Sandwich for so long. That hot veggie is my new life force and I owe it all to you.

The caprese sandwich was delicious as well! Such a great start to a wonderful visit. I loved seeing you in action at work - so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteYour rock art is way better than the other person's water art. You're the best.
